Anthropic is seeking an experienced AV Engineer to design and implement audiovisual systems that enable world-class collaboration and communication across the EMEA region. Based in the London office, you'll architect AV solutions from concept through commissioning, ensuring conference rooms, event spaces, and collaboration areas provide seamless experiences for teams advancing AI safety research.
Key responsibilities include leading AV design, procurement, and programming for new office builds, expansions, and retrofits across the global portfolio. You'll create and maintain comprehensive AV system designs including schematic drawings, line diagrams, and elevation plans. You'll program and commission AV systems to meet specific use cases, execute successful first-day deployments for new offices, and attend build coordination meetings with architects, contractors, and workplace teams.
You'll innovate and test emerging AV technologies to optimize productivity, develop automated solutions to improve system reliability, and partner with Security and IT teams to ensure enterprise security compliance. Documentation is critical—you'll create comprehensive guides covering programming logic, troubleshooting, and operational procedures. You'll oversee global AV operations, manage relationships with AV integrators and vendors, and provide operational support including event production and system maintenance.
Required qualifications: 8+ years designing and implementing AV systems in enterprise environments, proficiency in Q-Sys or similar control system programming, hands-on experience with video conferencing platforms (particularly Google Meet), ability to read and create AV technical drawings, understanding of digital signal processing concepts for audio, familiarity with enterprise video distribution and streaming technologies, and strong project management skills. The role requires up to 8 weeks of domestic and international travel for office buildouts.
