Salary: USD 80,000 - 85,000 / annual
HealthEdge is seeking an Associate Technical Services Engineer to provide frontline product and technical support to health insurance customers. In this role, you will diagnose and resolve customer issues, troubleshoot technical problems through systematic analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify root causes and implement solutions. You'll triage and prioritize customer issues, deliver timely workarounds, guide users on best practices, and escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining clear communication throughout the resolution process.
Key responsibilities include providing first-line technical support within established SLA guidelines, troubleshooting Java-based applications and related systems, contributing to knowledge base documentation, and developing reusable scripts to improve team efficiency and customer self-service. You will maintain flexible availability to support customers across time zones, including occasional early morning or evening shifts for US team collaboration. The role emphasizes continuous learning, participation in team mobbing sessions, and proactive identification of documentation gaps.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in analysis, maintenance, support, implementation, and testing of software systems using Java, J2EE, and internet technologies
- Preferably experience in the health insurance industry, particularly with healthcare payors
- 1+ years as a Business Analyst is a plus
- Strong aptitude for critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving
- Ability to document standard operating procedures and manage ticket lifecycles using Salesforce and Jira
- Experience engaging with customers and managing competing priorities
- Technical curiosity and strong learning aptitude; ability to quickly absorb new concepts in Java-based applications, SQL query development, relational databases, version control, web services (SOAP/REST), data formats, log analysis, and UNIX command-line basics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize issues, manage schedules, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
