Tempus is seeking a Portfolio Strategy Associate to join the Studies Portfolio Strategy team, which oversees strategy and execution of Tempus-sponsored observational trials, including prospective registry studies and retrospective biospecimen and data collection protocols. This role serves as a bridge between Tempus' strategic objectives and commercial partner priorities, translating shared vision into high-impact execution and revenue growth.
In this position, you will provide targeted analytical, operational, and project support in building systems, reporting, and execution enablement. Key responsibilities include supporting proposal development, overseeing operational execution by cross-functional teams, tracking KPIs, managing site network growth, and delivering client-ready deliverables. You will develop skills in client management, financial tracking, and data visualization.
Specific duties include: providing targeted support on scoped proposals; collaborating on product-development projects with project managers; tracking and reporting revenue KPIs for assigned programs; building and maintaining cross-functional reporting dashboards integrating clinical, operational, and financial data; assisting with abstract and protocol development; leading site outreach and developing site networks; creating platform playbooks and standardized work instructions; developing client slide decks and executive materials; supporting data readiness for leadership meetings and partner readouts; and conducting market research and enrollment forecasting for studies.
You should have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for forecasting, financial tracking, and data analysis, and experience creating clear, persuasive presentations in PowerPoint. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage shifting priorities are essential. A curious, proactive problem-solving approach with interest in developing client management skills is valued. You must be a strong team player who collaborates effectively across diverse cross-functional groups and has interest in data visualization and building reusable reporting systems.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Science or Business discipline; 1–3 years of professional experience in program operations, business analysis, consulting, or related client-facing support roles. Preferred: experience with life sciences clinical studies, program operations, or consulting engagements; exposure to observational studies, site networks, or biospecimen collection programs.
