Extreme Networks is a global leader in cloud-driven networking solutions serving over 50,000 customers worldwide. This role is part of the QA engineering team focused on enterprise-grade wireless networking products.
You will plan and design comprehensive test methodologies for cloud-based enterprise wireless networks. Working across functional groups, you'll develop and execute test strategies, conduct thorough testing of cloud-managed wireless product features and solutions, and identify defects early in the development cycle. You'll collaborate closely with developers to debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive defects to closure. Additionally, you'll recommend software improvements to enhance user experience and partner with the automation team to develop test scripts for feature automation.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in networking technologies and wireless systems. You'll work with RF equipment, network sniffers, and packet capture analysis tools. You'll also interact with infrastructure tools like Jenkins, Git, and Jira, and have exposure to REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON data structures.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in networking domain (VLANs, switches, TCP/IP, DHCP)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Wi-Fi 802.11 technology and enterprise Wi-Fi solutions
- Proven experience with NMS (Network Management Systems) and/or cloud-managed enterprise networks
- Hands-on experience with RF equipment, tools, sniffers, and packet capture analysis
- Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON data
- Experience with infrastructure tools: Jenkins, Git, Jira
- Testbed setup experience required
- Preferred: Experience with Wi-Fi 11ax and 6e products; familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
