Salary: USD 87,188 - 114,434 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking an Associate, Process Optimization to join the Eligibility and Billing team. This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing process improvements across the organization in support of strategic goals and operational excellence.
You will work cross-functionally with business and technical stakeholders to represent departmental needs in company-wide initiatives and solve internal process challenges. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end project management of cross-functional implementations, creating and analyzing departmental performance metrics, developing data-driven mitigation strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on change management and risk initiatives. You will also mentor team members and support their professional development.
The role requires collecting and documenting business requirements, building and managing project plans, documenting key decisions, managing project governance, and applying process improvement frameworks. You will report to the Senior Manager, Process Improvement.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience, 3+ years in operations, health insurance, data analysis, engineering, or consulting, 2+ years with data tools (Excel, SQL, Python, or similar), 2+ years of end-to-end project management experience, 2+ years designing and improving workflows with accompanying procedures, and 2+ years applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints).
Bonus qualifications include a degree in Engineering or Business Administration, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, and working knowledge of enrollment and billing systems.
