Aspect Biosystems is seeking an Associate in Process Development (Bioprinting CMC) to join the manufacturing and process development team focused on bioprinted tissue therapeutics (BTT). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Process Development, you will support therapeutic programs by assisting in the production of various BTTs and contributing to groundbreaking regenerative medicine initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting the manufacturing of BTTs for both GMP and R&D objectives, preparing materials and reagents in compliance with Good Documentation Practices, and assisting in process optimization and scale-up activities for IND-enabling work across multiple product candidates. You will perform routine maintenance of bioprinting equipment, develop and test bioprinting processes, and ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and standard operating procedures. You will collaborate with R&D, CMC, quality, and regulatory teams to support Bioprinting Design Transfers, design and execute studies to qualify and characterize new BTTs, and perform data collection and analysis to drive process improvements. Cross-functional collaboration is essential as you help develop and refine bioprinting methods for different therapeutic applications. Documentation responsibilities include creating and maintaining experimental forms, SOPs, batch production records, and other regulatory documentation. Required qualifications include a master's degree in biomedical engineering, materials science, biochemistry, life sciences, or related field; alternatively, a bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of industry experience. Familiarity with biomanufacturing process development, including scale-up and optimization, is essential. Experience in cGMP settings, particularly in cell therapy, is highly beneficial. You should have basic understanding of GMP and GDP with experience in regulated environments. The ideal candidate thrives in multi-disciplinary team environments, communicates effectively across diverse audiences, works with urgency and results-driven focus, and is willing to take initiative in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
