Salary: USD 102,000 - 120,000 / annual
Airbnb's Procurement Innovation team is seeking an Associate Principal to lead supplier programs and onboarding initiatives. This role sits within the Procurement function, which manages source-to-pay processes including Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense, and Contingent Workforce programs. Procurement Innovation oversees procurement tools, processes, reporting, and AI initiatives.
You will manage the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, including tool orchestration and cross-functional coordination to smoothly integrate third-party suppliers into Airbnb's financial systems. You'll provide deep expertise in supplier program optimization, maintaining effective supplier risk oversight, and establishing critical supplier programs in partnership with the Sourcing team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and maintain supplier onboarding programs to meet business and commercial needs
- Execute transformational initiatives that enhance supplier experience while mitigating risk
- Monitor supplier compliance, document operational health, and communicate progress and risks to leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance Technology Group, Procurement Operations, Third-Party Security, business units) to identify system and operational enhancement opportunities
- Manage project execution and tool implementation, providing subject matter expertise
- Develop process improvement recommendations based on deep understanding of current procurement practices
- Provide expertise in source-to-pay, supplier risk management, regulatory assessment, procurement technology, and transformation

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related fields
- 8+ years of experience managing procurement programs and/or leading preferred supplier programs
- Experience managing supplier onboarding and risk management tools and processes, with expertise in implementing enterprise-wide systems
- Experience using data, automation, or AI tools to support decision-making
- Skilled in building relationships in cross-functional environments and proven success influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence up, down, and across the organization
- Self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
