CloudKitchens is transforming the food delivery industry by converting underutilized properties into smart kitchen facilities that help restaurateurs succeed in online food delivery. As an Associate Operations Manager, you will oversee daily operations at one of our cloud kitchen facilities in New York, managing a diverse set of responsibilities across team leadership, sales, customer support, and facility maintenance. You will lead and train a dedicated facility team, handling scheduling, training, and performance management. This includes managing order fulfillment processes, delivering excellent customer service, and overseeing a janitorial team to maintain cleaning and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health and safety regulations. You'll foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and cross-departmental communication. On the sales side, you'll conduct facility tours, proactively engage with restaurant prospects, and lead sales pitches. You'll develop internal relationships to set proper expectations with potential customers and identify value-added opportunities for testing. As the primary point of contact for restaurant partners, you'll build and maintain trusting relationships while solving issues that arise. You'll quarterback the onboarding process for new partners, assisting with permits, delivery platform setup, and launch strategy planning. Your focus will be on managing the overall partner experience, preventing churn, and extending partner lifecycle. Administratively, you'll participate in planning sessions with management and peers, utilizing data to inform decisions. You'll review and report KPI metrics to facility management, contribute to goal setting, and manage the facility P&L while understanding key drivers for profitability. You'll also conduct routine inspections and maintenance audits on HVAC units, refrigeration, water heaters, and ice machines (with training and support), perform general upkeep, handle minor repairs, and coordinate with external vendors for specialized services. The role requires 2 years of preferred experience in operations management, employee/assistant management, restaurant management, or property management. This is a full-time, in-office position based in New York, requiring five days per week onsite.
