Coinbase is seeking an Associate Manager for Compliance Operations to join the Global Financial Crimes Operations (GFCO) team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end content lifecycle across Transaction Monitoring (TM), Screening, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) functions, managing intake, prioritization, creation, review, approval, publishing, and change communication for procedural content, guidance documents, and job aids.
You will lead a small team of 2-3 contractors, assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring consistent quality and on-time delivery. You'll serve as the operational program manager for the TM function, hosting weekly change management meetings, tracking the book of work, resolving blockers, and reporting progress to senior leadership.
A key focus of this role is driving measurable efficiency gains by embedding AI into compliance content operations. You will build and deploy AI agents and automated workflows to scale content production, streamline intake processes, and reduce manual effort across daily operations. You'll shape the AI strategy for the content domain, identifying automation opportunities and driving adoption across the team.
You'll partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Learning & Development, Operations, 2nd Line Compliance, and Program teams to align content and process changes across the organization.
Required qualifications include 7+ years in compliance operations, financial crimes, AML/BSA, or related regulatory environments. You must demonstrate a strong program management track record, managing 3+ cross-functional initiatives simultaneously with structured tracking and deadline-driven delivery. Hands-on experience with AML/BSA, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or EDD frameworks is essential. You should have proven ability to build and manage AI agents and automated workflows, including driving AI strategy adoption. Experience managing content lifecycles or knowledge management in regulated environments is required. You must utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
