Salary: USD 80,000 - 110,000 / annual
Via Transportation is building the technology backbone for modern public transit systems globally. As Associate General Manager on the Operations team, you'll manage day-to-day operations of a transit service in Okaloosa County, overseeing a team of field operators and drivers.
Your core responsibilities include: managing daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable, accessible transportation; making real-time decisions on fleet deployment, driver supply, compliance, and service issues; managing the full employee lifecycle for drivers including scheduling, PTO, performance conversations, and policy adherence; optimizing driver work schedules to meet demand; serving as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, and community leaders; using data and technology to diagnose problems and improve efficiency; ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations; and leading, coaching, and developing an engaged driver team.
You'll be expected onsite 4-5 days per week with potential early mornings or evenings. This is a fully in-person role requiring someone based in or willing to relocate to the Okaloosa County area.
You bring 4-6 years of operations management experience and a Bachelor's degree. You're an independent self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments. You're a savvy, tactful communicator who finds the right tone in every situation. You're detail-oriented, action-focused, and operate autonomously. You have extensive experience leading support teams and are known as an exceptional leader—people love working with and for you. You're flexible and adaptable, comfortable with rapid change and creative problem-solving. You don't accept the status quo and continuously seek better solutions.
