Salary: USD 80,000 - 110,000 / annual
Via is transforming urban transportation through technology-enabled shared mobility services. As Associate General Manager on the Operations team, you will oversee daily on-site operations for a transportation service in the Okaloosa County area, managing a team of local field operators and ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible service delivery.
Key responsibilities include managing the full employee lifecycle for drivers—scheduling, PTO approvals, performance conversations, and policy adherence. You'll make real-time operational decisions regarding fleet deployment, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs, stepping in quickly to resolve unexpected issues. You'll manage driver work schedules to ensure appropriate vehicle availability meets demand expectations at all times.
You'll serve as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, community leaders, and local organizations, helping translate community goals into service improvements. Using data and technology, you'll diagnose operational performance issues and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and rider experience. You'll ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.
Leadership is central to the role: you'll lead, coach, and develop an engaged driver team, fostering a collaborative and energetic environment. This is a fully in-person position requiring 4-5 days per week onsite, with potential for early mornings or evenings.
You bring 4-6 years of operations management experience and a Bachelor's degree. You're an independent self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments. You're a savvy, tactful communicator who finds the right tone in every situation. You're detail-oriented, action-focused, and comfortable operating autonomously. You have extensive experience leading support teams and are known for exceptional leadership. You're flexible and adaptable, comfortable with rapid change and creative problem-solving. You're based in or willing to relocate to the Okaloosa County area.
