Salary: USD 85,000 - 130,000 / annual
Via is transforming transportation through technology-enabled shared mobility services. As an Associate General Manager on the Operations team, you will manage daily onsite operations for Via's service in Sacramento, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders.
You will lead a team of local field operators and manage the full employee lifecycle for drivers, including scheduling, PTO approvals, performance conversations, and policy adherence. Your responsibilities include making real-time operational decisions about fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs. You'll diagnose service performance issues using data and technology, implement solutions to enhance efficiency and rider experience, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
You will serve as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, community leaders, and local organizations, helping bring community transportation goals to life. This role requires managing driver work schedules to meet demand expectations, leading and developing an engaged team, and fostering a collaborative, cohesive work environment. You'll be expected to be onsite 4-5 days per week, with potential for early mornings or evenings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-6 years of operations management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience leading support teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to adapt tone to different stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, action-oriented executor comfortable with high responsibility
- Flexible and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments
- Problem-solving mindset; creative approach to challenges
- Based in Sacramento, CA area or willing to relocate
