Jerry is building an AI-powered platform to manage all your physical assets—starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and beyond. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. The Data Science & Analytics team is a core driver of business impact, composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who inform decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. You will join the central Data Science & Analytics team (14 people) and be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You will own the analytical function for your assigned business unit end-to-end. Key responsibilities: - Define the right problems: Understand what business question each analysis answers and what decision it will inform. Push back on flawed questions. - Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface data insights that move your team's key metrics. - Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts. Communicate what's happening, why, and what next steps should be. The role is hands-on—not pure strategy. Your day-to-day involves surfacing analytical insights, driving decisions, and seeing them through end-to-end. The team values first-principles thinking, direct communication, and ownership mentality. There is no corporate fluff, unnecessary meetings, or waiting for approvals. Only work that materially changes the business trajectory gets done. Tools: SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, GitHub. The company supports remote work for most roles but also has offices in Palo Alto, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto. Candidates must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.
