The platform connects 850,000+ accredited members to high-quality venture deals through alumni-driven communities and co-investment strategies, with offices across Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester NH, London, and Tokyo.
As an Associate Community Manager, you'll serve as a day-to-day point of contact for prospective and existing investors, supporting their journey from initial interest through investment and ongoing engagement. You'll respond to investor inquiries via email, phone, webinars, and events, providing timely and accurate support using internal playbooks and approved resources.
Key responsibilities include:
**Investor & Community Support**: Serve as primary contact for investors, respond to questions across multiple channels, help individuals navigate Alumni Ventures' offerings and processes, and provide thoughtful guidance on community experience.
**Relationship Management**: Build strong relationships with investors, community members, and internal stakeholders. Deliver high-touch, service-oriented customer experience throughout the investor lifecycle. Anticipate needs, identify issues, and resolve questions with professionalism and empathy. Support investor onboarding and ongoing engagement initiatives.
**Operations & Partnership Support**: Collaborate with Managing Partners, Community Managers, and senior leaders. Support fundraising initiatives, fund operations, and club activities. Assist with event coordination, investor communications, and administrative processes.
You'll gain hands-on exposure to venture capital, startup investing, investor relations, and fund operations. Prior VC experience is not required, but successful candidates are typically interested in investing, entrepreneurship, startups, or business strategy. The role offers mentorship from senior leadership and opportunities to develop expertise in communication, relationship management, project management, and venture investing.
The Boston-based position requires commuting to Manchester, NH 2-3 times per week. Alumni Ventures operates as a 5-day-a-week in-office culture emphasizing collaboration and mentorship.
