The Asset Lifecycle Coordinator will manage the complete physical and logical lifecycle of corporate IT assets, serving as the custodian of hardware inventory from receiving through secure disposal. This role combines asset management logistics with foundational IT support responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Asset Lifecycle & Logistics Management:
- Receive, inspect, and tag all incoming IT hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals, network gear)
- Maintain 100% accuracy in the Asset Management system, recording serial numbers, user assignments, warranty statuses, and physical locations
- Coordinate logistics of shipping hardware to remote employees and setting up workspaces for local staff
- Manage secure return of IT equipment from departing employees, including cleaning, inspection, testing, and assessment for redeployment or retirement
- Coordinate safe and compliant disposal or recycling of legacy hardware, ensuring data sanitization certificates are obtained and filed
Legal Holds & Security Compliance:
- Securely isolate, track, and log hardware placed on active legal holds
- Maintain documented chain of custody for sensitive or legally restricted hardware per Legal and Security team instructions
- Strictly adhere to corporate security protocols and legal procedures regarding device handling, data privacy, and evidence preservation
Basic IT Helpdesk Support:
- Monitor incoming helpdesk tickets, Slack channels, and walk-up requests, providing basic technical assistance or routing complex issues to tier-2 engineers
- Perform basic provisioning tasks including MDM enrollment, laptop imaging, OS updates, and hardware functionality checks
- Troubleshoot basic workplace tech issues including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, printers, and meeting room AV setups
The role is based at the Bothell, WA office with approximately 10% domestic or international travel.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT asset management, warehouse inventory tracking, logistics, or IT desktop support
- Extreme attention to detail with passion for maintaining accurate spreadsheets, asset databases, and organized physical storage
- Basic familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems, modern hardware components, and standard computer peripherals
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a helpful, friendly attitude
- Physical ability to move, organize, and lift boxes of computer equipment (up to 40 lbs) safely and regularly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or ITSM software (Snipe-IT, Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow, Freshservice)
- Basic understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) concepts (Jamf, Kandji, Intune) or Cloud Directories
- Prior experience handling sensitive data destruction protocols or e-waste logistics
