As Area Manager II, you will lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to execute daily goals and maintain operational excellence in a high-volume distribution center. You will work closely with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other operations leaders to drive results, address operational and personnel issues, and implement process improvements. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse bin accuracy, maintaining inventory shrink, utilizing the Order Management System and material handling equipment, investigating discrepancies and variances, and ensuring orders are fulfilled to quality standards. You will be responsible for workload planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet fulfillment targets. The role requires strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while managing stress and high workloads. You must be flexible and willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed. Required qualifications include 2-4 years of experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory systems in high-volume facilities, previous leadership experience, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. You must possess strong clerical and data entry skills, basic mathematical abilities, and proficiency with material handling equipment such as forklifts. The role requires the ability to work in a distribution center environment with exposure to varying heights, temperatures, and noise levels. Bonus qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, and experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
