Stord is a rapidly growing commerce-enablement platform that powers fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics for leading DTC and B2B brands. The company manages over $10 billion in commerce annually and is on track to double revenue in the next 18 months. Stord combines comprehensive technology (OMS, WMS, pre/post-purchase platforms) with high-volume fulfillment services to help brands compete with retail giants.
As Area Manager II, you will lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads in a high-volume distribution center. You'll be responsible for executing all processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy, bin accuracy, and shrink management. Your key responsibilities include:
• Lead and develop warehouse teams to deliver on daily operational goals
• Work cross-functionally with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other operations leaders to drive results
• Address operational and personnel issues affecting your functional area
• Implement process improvements and workload efficiency mechanisms
• Utilize workload planning tools and WMS to ensure orders are fulfilled to standards
• Investigate discrepancies and variances in inventory and operations
• Perform quality checks across multiple warehouse functions
• Manage overtime scheduling and ensure compliance with operational requirements
You'll need 2-4 years of hands-on experience with warehouse management systems and inventory systems in high-volume facilities, plus previous leadership experience. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent relevant experience) is required. Essential skills include strong organizational and time management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with material handling equipment, and the ability to work independently under pressure. You must be flexible with availability, including evenings and weekends as needed. Bonus qualifications include Microsoft Office proficiency, a degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field, and experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
