As Application Platform Team Lead, you will lead the engineering team responsible for designing, building, and operating the mobile app infrastructure. This is a senior, high-impact platform role central to the mobile product strategy. You will own the creation and evolution of shared code, SDKs, templates, and platform services that enable multiple product streams while managing the technical complexity of cross-platform mobile development (iOS/Android, native integrations, cross-platform patterns).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of engineers to foster high-performance and innovative engineering culture
- Defining and evolving platform architecture that supports shared code, cross-team reuse, and developer velocity while addressing mobile-specific complexity
- Making critical technical tradeoffs balancing long-term maintainability with business needs
- Staying hands-on: driving design and implementation of core platform pieces
- Leading full-stack development across backend and frontend implementations
- Conducting deep technical research to identify best solutions for performance, security, and reliability
Technology stack includes Node.js, React Native, Redux, ReactJS, Scala, Play, Microservices, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Spark, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years as an Engineering Team Lead with demonstrated people leadership and delivery ownership
- 5+ years building mobile applications for iOS and/or Android
- Strong, practical experience with mobile CI/CD for iOS & Android (build automation, signing, rollouts/canaries)
- Proven experience building SDKs, libraries, or developer tooling consumed by multiple product teams
- Experience using AI tools within the software development lifecycle, including ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code
- Excellent communicator able to align technical strategy with product needs and translate tradeoffs for cross-functional partners
- BSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
