As an Android Engineer on the Payments BR tribe, you will design and build merchant-facing experiences within SumUp's SuperApp ecosystem, with a focus on Brazil's Pix payment system. You'll work in a highly cross-functional environment where your code and decisions impact multiple teams and tribes across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Design in-app experiences that help merchants understand and manage Pix transactions, automatic Pix, and Pix credit flows
- Coordinate changes across multiple tribes (Bank, Lending, Online Payments, Platform) to deliver features that touch shared code and surfaces
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions as an equal
- Write clean, tested Android code using Kotlin and Java, following modular architecture and solid testing practices
- Collaborate with the Mobile Chapter to share knowledge, patterns, and lessons learned
- Learn from experienced senior engineers and build relationships with stakeholders across tribes

REQUIREMENTS:
- Native development experience with Kotlin and Java
- Experience with modular architecture, MVVM, SOLID principles, and REST APIs
- Comfort with unit testing and dependency injection
- Curiosity and genuine enthusiasm for technology; habit of asking questions and understanding how things work
- Ability to work well in multicultural, cross-functional environments with clear English communication skills
