Dawn Aerospace is a space transportation company developing in-space propulsion systems, in-space servicing capabilities, and spaceplane technology. As an AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Test Technician, you will play a critical role in testing propulsion equipment for satellites manufactured by Dawn. You will execute specialized testing tasks in the company's workshop and cleanroom facilities in Delft, where all systems are assembled, integrated, and tested in-house before delivery to customers worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing specialized tests such as leak tests, pressure tests, environmental tests, and hot-fire tests
- Preparing and executing hardware tests at component and subsystem levels, working independently or with AIT team support
- Operating measurement equipment and test setups
- Preparing test reports and analyzing test data
- Collaborating with engineering and quality control teams to ensure production data accuracy and completeness
You will work in a controlled environment with pressurized systems and advanced testing equipment. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to document findings clearly.
Required qualifications:
- Experience with pressurized systems and pressure-testing equipment (e.g., pressure regulators), including fluid and hydraulic systems
- Experience with basic measurement instruments such as multimeters and pressure gauges
- Ability to read and follow test procedures
- Ability to work effectively both in team environments and independently
- Adaptability and positive approach to change
- Ability to follow and maintain basic safety procedures
- Fluent English
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with propulsion subsystems, other satellite subsystems, or related fields such as aircraft assembly/maintenance and high-tech manufacturing
- Experience working in geographically distributed teams
- Experience working in controlled environments such as cleanrooms
- Production process development experience (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma)
