Clutch builds AI agents for credit unions, starting with Emma, an AI collections agent that has handled 60,000+ conversations in its first twelve weeks. As AI Operations Manager, you will own the complete post-sale journey for these agents—from contract signature through scaled performance and ongoing optimization.
You will be the expert credit unions rely on. Most have never deployed an AI agent and don't know what success looks like. Your role is to walk in with strong, opinionated recommendations for agent behavior grounded in cross-deployment learnings, then let the credit union customize from there. You'll design each agent's behavior (conversation design, escalation rules, negotiation boundaries, tone), run live testing, drive go-live, and own ongoing performance monitoring, drift detection, and executive business reviews.
You'll join the Special Projects team, working daily with product, engineering, and AI sales specialists—the part of Clutch closest to the frontier. The team is direct and evidence-driven; field intelligence flows straight back into product, pricing, and sales decisions. You'll have a real voice in strategy, not just feedback.
Within one month, you'll become expert in credit union operations, collections workflows, compliance rules, and member experience. You'll learn Emma end-to-end: system prompt architecture, configuration surfaces, verification protocols, escalation triggers, constraint language, payment negotiation boundaries, and implementation processes. You'll shadow active deployments and live testing with credit union teams.
Within three months, you'll own Emma implementations end-to-end as the customer's single point of contact. You'll manage post-go-live performance for a book of live accounts, monitoring results and running executive reviews. You'll codify Clutch's implementation defaults—a best-practice starting point for every design decision—so engagements begin from "here's what works" rather than a blank page. You'll stand up operating infrastructure: health monitoring, standardized reporting, and repeatable playbooks.
Within six months, you'll run the full post-sale book independently, balancing new customer setup and mature account optimization. You'll extend the operating model to the next agents in the portfolio. You'll define the hiring plan and role design for scaling beyond yourself and begin building the team. You'll operate as the field-intelligence engine, shaping product roadmap, sales positioning, and pricing based on customer learnings.
You bring 5+ years in management consulting, business operations, or comparable structured problem-solving in fast-paced environments, preferably SaaS and/or Fintech. You lead with a point of view, comfortable telling C-level executives what you think they should do and defending it—and equally comfortable updating when evidence says you're wrong. You own end-to-end execution of complex, multi-stakeholder projects without a project manager. You have genuine AI fluency and hands-on comfort with LLM-based products, understanding how agent configuration shapes live behavior. You're not required to be an engineer but can't be a tourist. You have a builder's instinct, turning tribal knowledge into playbooks, defaults, and tooling. You have executive presence and will be the face of Clutch's AI agents to credit union leadership from day one.
Nice-to-haves (explicitly not required): collections experience, credit union or banking background, or software engineering skills. Clutch hires for consultative horsepower and execution; domain knowledge is teachable.
