Virta Health is seeking an AI Operations Engineer to drive the company's evolution into an AI-native organization. You will serve as the technical subject matter expert and primary champion for rolling out an enterprise agentic AI platform across departments, partnering with HR, IT, Information Security, and Infrastructure Engineering.
Key responsibilities include: driving adoption of the selected AI platform by partnering department-by-department to support technical requests, identify productivity bottlenecks, and implement high-impact AI use cases; establishing AI financial observability by defining, monitoring, and reporting on enterprise AI costs by department through structured dashboards; governing AI vendor risk assessment in partnership with Information Security and legal teams; bridging IT, Security, and Engineering Infrastructure to translate technical AI guardrails into business enablement policies; and building repeatable IT operational workflows including support processes, training modules, and SOPs for the broader IT support team.
In your first 30 days, you'll conduct a deep dive into Virta's AI platform and deployment strategy while building relationships with key partners. Days 30-60 focus on piloting across key business departments and delivering automated dashboards tracking AI token utilization and costs. By day 90, you'll formalize the AI vendor risk checklist, deploy self-service AI guides, and document onboarding SOPs for IT support staff.
Required qualifications include 2+ years in agentic AI, IT operations, and business systems enablement, plus 4 years in technical program management. You must have hands-on experience deploying generative AI productivity suites (Google Gemini, OpenAI/ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot) in corporate environments; API and model orchestration experience with frontier LLMs and multi-agent frameworks; strong software engineering fundamentals in Python and C++; systems integration skills with Model Context Protocol servers; and proven ability to build dashboard telemetry using APIs, SQL, Looker, or similar BI tools. Exceptional communication skills, ability to demystify complex technical tools for non-technical users, and a track record of designing AI-enabled workflows are essential.
