Klaviyo is scaling its engineering organization and making a strategic bet on AI-first engineering practices. This role is a senior individual contributor position focused on embedding AI into how every engineer works from day one, not as an occasional tool but as a core part of the development workflow. You will design and own the systems, onboarding programs, and learning initiatives that enable Klaviyo engineers to move faster with more confidence. Key responsibilities include: - Building an AI-first onboarding experience (Day 0 through Day 90) that reduces time-to-first-impact for new engineers, covering environments, access, labs, first PRs, and success metrics. - Enabling AI adoption in daily engineering workflows such as backlog synthesis, PR reviews, and incident summaries by partnering with Developer Infrastructure and Engineering Leadership. - Codifying engineering practices through living documentation and training materials that explain development systems, code review norms, CI/CD practices, and incident hygiene. - Designing and scaling technical learning programs including workshops, demos, and lunch-and-learns focused on AI fluency and emerging technologies. - Supporting engineering manager effectiveness by translating leadership expectations into tailored learning and enablement content on planning, execution, tooling, and technical leadership. - Facilitating high-impact live learning sessions and evolving content based on feedback. - Establishing metrics and success criteria for onboarding, learning, and productivity initiatives, using data and experimentation to measure impact. - Partnering with recruiting and onboarding teams to strengthen the hiring-to-onboarding handoff and ensure new hires are set up for success. - Elevating engineering culture through tech talks, internal workshops, and communities of practice that reinforce learning and best practices. You will work cross-functionally with Developer Infrastructure, Engineering Leadership, HR Business Partners, Recruiting, L&D, Security, and Engineering Operations. This is a highly visible role at the heart of engineering effectiveness, focused on building systems that enable outsized impact across the entire R&D organization.
