Divergent 3D is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Operations Specialist to drive production scheduling and operational efficiency for advanced manufacturing operations. This role bridges tactical scheduling support and long-range production planning, ensuring on-time delivery of machined hardware through machining, assembly, and final inspection phases. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining work center schedules for machining, inspection, assembly, and final inspection operations; preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with Program and Planning Teams; hosting daily production standups and cross-functional readiness meetings to communicate status and resolve blockers; and proactively managing job flow across machining, inspection, assembly, and shipping to reduce work-in-process stagnation. The role requires validating Material Requirements Planning (MRP) dates against actual shop floor conditions, investigating part shortages and labor constraints, and providing schedule visibility and performance updates to shop leads and senior leadership. The specialist will support development of tools for real-time tracking, capacity planning, and resource forecasting, while identifying and implementing initiatives to improve product quality, throughput, and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in aerospace or high-complexity manufacturing environments, with strong knowledge of ERP/MRP and MES systems. Expertise in production planning, forecasting, and schedule optimization is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet), JIRA, and Confluence is required. The role demands strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate and influence cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, production, and quality. This is a fast-paced, high-mix production environment where priorities shift rapidly based on engineering changes, supply chain constraints, and program milestones. Success requires hands-on shop floor engagement, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling risks before they impact key deliverables.
