LangChain is seeking an Activation Specialist to join the Customer Experience team. The role focuses on guiding new customers through their first weeks on LangSmith, the company's observability and deployment platform for AI agents, moving them from contract signature to production-ready implementation. Key responsibilities include owning the customer onboarding journey from kickoff through early activation milestones such as admin setup, SDK integration, first traced run, first evaluation, and LangGraph deployment. You'll guide customers through core LangSmith setup and production readiness topics including security, org design, workload isolation, and integration questions. The role requires partnering with GTM teams, Product, Engineering, and LangChain specialists to unblock customers and coordinate support when deeper expertise is needed. You'll help customers build their first evaluation workflows, define success criteria, and confirm they can independently debug production traces. You'll also route customers to appropriate resources, turn recurring onboarding questions into documented runbooks and repeatable processes, and surface customer friction to Product and Engineering teams early. Success is measured through activation metrics such as time to first trace, first evaluation, and production run. The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of customer-facing experience in support, customer success, account management, onboarding, or similar functions. You should have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive approach to learning new tools and solving problems. Technical curiosity about AI and willingness to learn hands-on are essential. Nice-to-haves include SaaS onboarding experience, familiarity with enterprise readiness concepts (SSO, SCIM, ABAC, workload isolation), and exposure to developer tools, observability, or AI/LLM workflows.
