Octopus Energy Services is a rapidly growing renewable energy company in France, specializing in decarbonization solutions including solar panel installation, EV charging stations, and low-carbon heating systems. The company operates warehouses in Amiens and Orléans and is expanding operations across France. As a Junior Procurement Buyer, you will be at the heart of logistics operations, managing the daily supply chain for installation teams and warehouses. Your primary responsibility is to pilot warehouse replenishment and optimize stock management while ensuring material availability for field technicians. Key Responsibilities: - Manage recurring supplier orders and daily warehouse replenishment to prevent stockouts while optimizing reserve levels - Handle urgent requests from technical teams for next-day delivery - Conduct regular physical stock audits, analyze inventory discrepancies, identify flow anomalies, and implement corrective actions in the stock management system - Optimize product references and reduce dormant inventory - Update stock valuations weekly and conduct month-end inventories - Produce KPI reports to optimize storage and rotation costs - Verify material list compliance for installation kits (kitting) and support their assembly in coordination with warehouse teams - Manage accounting reconciliation of invoices and purchase orders; track supplier disputes - Conduct weekly visits to warehouses in Amiens and Orléans Concrete Objectives: - Achieve 98%+ availability rate on critical materials - Ensure inventory accuracy and continuously reduce stock discrepancies - Deliver monthly stock valuation and budget tracking reports - Master procurement and stock management tools (ERP, kitting software) and propose continuous improvements - Build reliable working relationships with warehouse managers and technical teams Onboarding Timeline: Month 1: Immersion in warehouse operations, product familiarization, tool training, and supplier mapping. Month 2: Guided practice on purchase alerts, kitting validation, inventory tracking, and stock accounting. Month 3: Independent inventory management and emergency procurement for field needs; begin challenging order quantities to maintain 1-2 month stock targets. Month 4: Full autonomy in daily replenishment orders and stock valuation. Required Qualifications: - Attention to detail and comfort with precise numerical data - Proactive, pragmatic problem-solving mindset with field orientation and reactivity - Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to manage both advance planning and daily urgencies - Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork; comfortable engaging with suppliers, warehouse managers, and technicians - Field adaptability; willingness to roll up sleeves and support warehouse teams as needed - Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; quick learner with ERP and stock management tools; interest in AI tools Career Development: This role is an entry point into logistics operations.
