August Bioservices is a high-growth, privately-owned Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The company provides drug discovery, drug formulation, and drug manufacturing services to pharma and biotech companies of all sizes, playing a vital role in the global pharmaceutical industry. August is currently undertaking a significant two-phase expansion project, including construction of a new state-of-the-art facility adjacent to its current location.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation. Key duties include matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation (3-way match), reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies, and performing monthly credit card reconciliations including reviewing receipts, coding transactions, and resolving discrepancies with cardholders.
Additional responsibilities include sending payment remittances to vendors and responding to related inquiries, maintaining accurate vendor records including W-9 collection and 1099 tracking, and responding to vendor and internal inquiries professionally and in a timely manner. The role supports month-end close activities related to accounts payable, accruals, and credit card liabilities, assists with internal controls and audit requests related to AP and expense processes, and identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Other accounting and administrative duties will be assigned as needed.
The position is primarily performed in an office setting at the Nashville facility. Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas may require adherence to site safety protocols. REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Aestiva
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
