Hut 8 is building and operating large-scale data centers for next-generation computing workloads including AI, colocation, cloud, and Bitcoin mining. The company is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to own end-to-end AP operations for data center development projects.
In this role, you will lead a team of 2–3 AP professionals and manage the complete project AP lifecycle: purchase order processing, invoice intake and approval routing, payment execution (ACH, wire, check), and reconciliation. Key responsibilities include:
**Work Breakdown Structure & Cost Coding**: Develop deep working knowledge of WBS-based project budgets and cost coding structures. Interpret coded budget hierarchies, ensure accurate invoice coding to appropriate budget line items, and enforce coding discipline across all project payables.
**Commitment-Based AP**: Process payables in a commitment-driven environment (POs, subcontracts, change orders). Reconcile invoiced-to-date amounts against committed contract values, monitor remaining commitment balances, and flag vendor billings exceeding authorized contract value.
**Invoice-to-Pay Operations**: Run the full project AP cycle across multiple sites and entities, including PO matching, invoice intake and approval routing, scheduled payment runs, and urgent/off-cycle payments with proper controls and documentation.
**Reconciliation & Close**: Own AP subledger-to-GL and vendor statement reconciliations, aging reviews, and month-end close support including project accruals.
**Vendor, Banking & Entity Setup**: Lead vendor onboarding (tax documentation, banking verification, fraud safeguards) and drive setup of new projects, including bank account openings and new legal entity creation in partnership with Treasury, Accounting, and Legal.
**Team Leadership & Process Development**: Lead and develop your team of 2–3, build scalable AP processes and approval workflows, implement public-company internal controls, and report on AP aging, accruals, and project spend.
You will partner daily with Supply Chain, Construction, Treasury, FP&A, and Accounting teams. The role is based in-office at Hut 8's corporate offices in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of progressive AP / accounting operations experience, including 3+ years leading a team
- Deep project-based or construction AP experience with PO-driven workflows and capitalized costs; data center, energy, or infrastructure background preferred
- Track record managing high invoice and payment volume across multiple legal entities and bank accounts, including urgent, high-dollar wires and ACH transfers
- ERP fluency (NetSuite and Ramp) and advanced Excel skills
- Internal controls knowledge, with public company / SOX experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
