FlixBus, a tech-driven travel platform, is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the Central Accounting team in Sofia on a hybrid basis. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions on a timely basis
- Monitor vendor open items and clarify old and unusual balances
- Prepare accounts payable reconciliations and investigate differences
- Prepare and execute electronic payment runs as well as manual payments when necessary
- Assist in the collection and distribution of financial information
- Prepare clear and concise documentation on working procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting
- Solid knowledge of accounting and VAT legislation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing international environment
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Reliability and strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English and/or German
