- Audit management: lead day-to-day coordination with Deloitte on UK Ltd and Holdco statutory audits
- Team leadership: manage the UK accounting team and oversee outsourced AP operations (ApprovalMax), banking (Barclays, JPM), and treasury
- Technical accounting: oversee complex recurring areas including prize-draw revenue recognition, charity liabilities with present-value-discounted payout schedules, winner payout schedules, lease accounting, and intercompany loans/cost allocations across the group
- Tax & compliance: support VAT, corporation tax, and HMRC filings (PSA, ERS) in coordination with KPMG
- Controls & process: maintain and strengthen financial controls and SOP documentation as part of a broader controls-framework initiative

- Strong technical accounting under IFRS; US GAAP experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency group with comfort across consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Team leadership combined with willingness to operate hands-on in a lean, fast-moving accounting function
- NetSuite experience preferred; strong systems and controls orientation
DESIRABLE:
- Experience in high-growth, private-equity, venture-backed, or pre-IPO businesses
- Exposure to VAT-complex or regulated consumer businesses
