Passport is a Series B automotive and transportation logistics company seeking a 3PL Operations Associate to manage daily execution across their third-party warehouse network. This role sits at the center of operational visibility and accountability, requiring someone who works independently, takes ownership end-to-end, and proactively solves problems with minimal oversight.
Key responsibilities include monitoring 3PL partner performance against SLAs using KPIs and dashboards; investigating operational issues across systems, carriers, and warehouses to document root causes and resolutions; analyzing large datasets in Excel to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities; building and maintaining recurring reports and dashboards with accurate, timely, actionable insights; communicating clearly with internal teams, 3PL partners, carriers, and customers; presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders; managing daily priorities independently; identifying manual or repetitive tasks and recommending automation opportunities; and supporting ad hoc initiatives during peak periods.
Success is measured by early issue identification with clear context and next steps, accurate and trusted performance data, accountable 3PL partners through professional data-backed communication, continuous process improvement through proactive ownership and documentation, reduced manual work through thoughtful automation, and clear stakeholder updates without chasing for status.
Required qualifications: 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, operations, or related field; full professional English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication; strong Excel skills including large datasets, formulas, filters, and pivot tables; experience with large operational datasets, KPI reporting, and performance analysis preferred; comfort presenting operational updates to partners or clients; highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple workstreams; self-starter who thrives with low supervision; strong problem-solving and process-oriented thinking; continuous drive to automate repetitive work and improve efficiency; adaptability to process changes; and collaborative team player mentality.
Role requires West Coast–based working hours and location, with preferred hours 8:30 AM–5:30 PM PT, Monday–Friday. Strong Excel proficiency is essential. Regular participation in partner and internal meetings via video calls, with phone calls for time-sensitive issues. Occasional travel may be required. Expected to help create, maintain, and improve internal and external SOPs and operational documentation. Experience with workflow automation and Zendesk is a plus.
