Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held HR technology and services organization, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support its growing client base in Westmount, Quebec. The role is responsible for all payroll-related processing activities for a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities: - Process payroll for a growing client base using applicable federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and company policies - Pull new hire imports and timesheet imports from various systems - Resolve client issues and discrepancies with payroll data - Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and employee payments - Review and calculate pay for status changes, new hires, transfers, and promotions - Calculate terminated employee final pay following appropriate provincial regulations - Troubleshoot and problem-solve employee payroll and HRIS issues - Make necessary entries or uploads to payroll data (adjustments, incentives, additional hours) after appropriate approvals - Prepare off-cycle payrolls and manual checks as needed - Respond to HRIS and payroll questions and inquiries - Enter new hire information into HRIS systems - Manage, maintain, and update Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and specific modules - Generate reports for compliance and audits - Work with other departments to find resolutions to complex payroll issues Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - 3–7 years of payroll processing experience - At least 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in payroll services or similar industry - Experience handling and managing multi-Canadian provincial payrolls, payroll systems, and processing Canadian payroll - Bilingual: proficient in French and English (required) - PCP or PLP certification required - Intermediate to strong skills in MS Office, including Excel and Outlook - Ability to efficiently organize work activities to meet daily and weekly deadlines - Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines - Proven ability to make proper judgment calls when presented with situations or problems
