DataCamp is seeking a VP of Professional Services to own and scale the company's enterprise professional services business line end-to-end. DataCamp's mission is to empower learners and organizations with data and AI skills through an interactive, hands-on learning platform trusted by 19 million learners and 8,000+ companies, including 80% of the Fortune 1000.
The Professional Services function delivers premium offerings around the core platform: company-wide data and AI programs, live delivery, custom content, assessment, executive enablement, and deep technical training. Demand currently exceeds capacity, with programs booked months in advance. This is a partner-level role, not a services management position.
You will own the complete P&L for the professional services business line, including bookings, revenue, and gross margin. Responsibilities span:
**Commercial & Sales:** Lead professional services account executives and collaborate closely with platform sales teams to identify program opportunities within existing accounts. Qualify opportunities, move proposals quickly, and personally engage on high-value accounts. Recognize that much growth sits inside current customers.
**Delivery & Execution:** Set quality standards and oversee program design and delivery in partnership with Learning Solutions Architects, project management, and external instructors. Own the end-to-end client experience from initial conversation through post-program outcomes. Build and manage the team that delivers these programs.
**Offering & Packaging:** Define which programs to lead with, how they are packaged, pricing strategy, and cost structure to ensure repeatable, scalable offerings rather than custom solutions for each account.
**Process & Operations:** Design and enforce handoffs between sales, customer success, and delivery functions. Build processes that people actually follow, addressing friction at organizational seams.
You will work closely with founders and a lean support structure, personally running the most complex engagements while building the function.
**Requirements:**
- Deep expertise in the data and AI space with hands-on delivery experience (teaching, implementing, or building solutions). Must be conversant across AI literacy, Claude Code, data engineering, Databricks, and related domains. Purely commercial services leaders will not succeed.
- Minimum 10 years in professional services, consulting, or enterprise delivery.
- Partner-level experience: have sold and delivered your own engagements, participated in pricing conversations, and remained accountable for results post-contract.
- P&L literacy: comfortable reasoning directly about margin, utilization, cost of delivery, and pricing.
- Credibility with technical audiences on both the buyer side (practitioners and content evaluators) and internally (senior instructors and solution architects).
- Proven ability to design and enforce processes that work, not just document them.
- Built for early-stage: comfortable designing a function while personally running the hardest engagements simultaneously.
