The Ride Platform (parent company of Outdoorsy, Ride, Wheelbase, and Roamly) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and optimize the core RV rental marketplace. This is an optimization-focused role, not a net-new platform build. You will drive continuous incremental improvements to Departed Revenue (the North Star metric), balancing two-sided marketplace dynamics, eliminating funnel friction, improving liquidity, and fine-tuning unit economics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive North Star metric (Departed Revenue) through continuous optimization
- Analyze and optimize guest and host booking journeys to minimize drop-off and post-booking friction
- Balance host supply and guest demand through targeted product and lifecycle improvements
- Streamline funnel and conversion across supply formats and booking models
- Optimize marketplace health and supply-to-demand ratios across geographies, vehicle tiers, and booking models
- Drive booking value through pricing, add-ons, and promo safeguard policies while protecting margin integrity
- Work with risk and cross-functional partners on marketplace policies, loss ratios, and insurance/fintech integrations
- Build and maintain an experimentation roadmap, prioritizing highest-impact work and participating in controlled experiments
- Use AI development tools (Claude Design, Claude Code) to rapidly prototype, iterate, test, and deploy changes
This is a "builder-operator" role combining strategic ownership with hands-on technical execution. You will act self-sufficiently, leveraging modern AI tools to move fast and directly contribute code or design changes when appropriate.
Requirements:
- 6+ years in Product Management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role overseeing a two-sided peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth through experimentation, growth loops, and micro-optimizations
- Exceptional analytical ability to break down complex metrics into actionable sub-components
- Comfortable using modern AI tooling (Claude Design, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub, etc.) to prototype ideas, mock up designs, and submit PRs or code changes
- Strong understanding of triggering, lifecycle messaging, and behavioral nudges that influence buyer and seller actions
- Experience working with marketplace risk, loss ratios, insurance attach rates, or algorithmic pricing model impacts
- Optimization-first mindset focused on incremental improvements rather than net-new feature suites
