Neko Health is a preventative healthcare company using proprietary technology to deliver personalized, actionable health insights in a single non-invasive visit. The company is building hardware and firmware solutions to make data-driven preventative care accessible at scale.
You will join the Hardware & Firmware organization in Stockholm as a Test and Validation Engineer, owning the electronics testing strategy and execution for all hardware designs. This is a hands-on role that combines test engineering with electronics design work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bring up and verify new PCB revisions across the team's designs, from initial prototype through production readiness
- Design test fixtures and test PCBs yourself, handling schematic capture through PCB layout
- Write and execute comprehensive verification test plans that validate boards against their requirements
- Build automated test setups and develop the scripting infrastructure to run them
- Troubleshoot EMC pre-compliance failures and feed findings back into the design process
- Investigate test failures to root cause and translate findings into design changes
- Participate in design reviews early in the project cycle to ensure boards are designed with testability in mind
- Own the test approach for each board and communicate the reasoning behind your testing strategy
The role is positioned close to the design team, with short feedback loops between test findings and design iterations. Medical devices must deliver consistent readings across all clinics, making verification a critical design input rather than an afterthought. You'll work in a flat hierarchy with the design team co-located in Stockholm.
Requirements:
- Hands-on lab skills: proficiency with oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, and bench-level hardware debugging
- Schematic capture and PCB design experience sufficient to design your own test fixtures and test boards
- Test scripting and automation in Python or similar languages
- Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics
- Ability to read requirements and determine testability; comfort identifying and flagging untestable requirements
- Ownership mindset: comfortable owning the complete test approach for a board and explaining your reasoning
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent English (C1 level or above)
Bonus Experience:
- Medical devices or other regulated industry background; familiarity with IEC 60601
- EMC pre-compliance testing experience, including chamber testing
- Sensor signal conditioning and analog front-end design
- Instrument control and automated test frameworks (LabVIEW, PyVISA, TestStand)
- Design for test (DFT) on boards heading into volume production
