Omnea is a Series B AI-native procurement platform that has raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel. The company has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and is trusted by enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. The founding team previously scaled Tessian (cybersecurity, acquired post-Series C). As Technical Solutions Engineer, you will own Omnea's most complex customer-facing technical problems end-to-end—gnarly integrations, cross-system issues, and escalations that others cannot crack. You sit between Customer, Product, and Engineering, serving as the senior technical presence and SWAT team when issues exceed standard support capacity. Key responsibilities: - Lead investigation and resolution of complex customer issues (integrations, configuration edge cases, cross-system bugs). Direct AI to accelerate the first pass, then apply judgment AI cannot: is this safe to ship, is the root cause actually fixed? - Act as the senior escalation point when issues exceed Customer team capacity, and be the technical voice when Product and Engineering need ground truth. - Step into live implementations when they hit technical complexity—tricky integrations, custom logic, unusual data flows—and work directly with the implementation team. - Spot patterns across resolved issues and turn them into clear, well-scoped input for Product and Engineering to prevent recurring problems. - Document learnings, build tooling and playbooks for triaging complex technical issues, and raise the bar for technical quality as the team grows. This role is distinctive because you will spend more time directing AI through investigation than manually tracing logs yourself. Writing sharp, specific briefs for AI investigation is a core skill. Your judgment on production risk is paramount—AI can suggest fixes in minutes, but you decide whether it's safe for live enterprise environments. You'll experiment with evolving AI tooling and bring what works back to the team. The company works in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at their London office. Omnea emphasizes culture and is recognized as the Sunday Times' #1 Best Medium Sized Tech Company To Work for. The team is commercial, ambitious, and offers a Future Founders fund for employees. REQUIREMENTS: - 3–8+ years in a customer-facing technical role (technical support engineering, solutions engineering, implementation, or similar) at a fast-growing SaaS company - Technical background: Computer Science or Engineering degree, prior experience as a software developer/engineer, or strong hands-on experience with SQL, APIs, and system integrations - Strong systems intuition: comfortable diving into unfamiliar platforms, reasoning about architecture, and identifying where in complex systems issues originate - Comfortable directing AI tools to speed up investigation and first-draft fixes, with judgment to know what to trust and what to double-check - Excellent communicator who can flex between technical deep-dives with engineers and clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders - Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity; you want to help build standards and playbooks for this function, not just follow existing ones - High ownership: you own problems through to resolution and raise your hand for hard problems rather than waiting to be assigned
