Workist is an AI platform that automates core processes in Sales and Procurement by integrating with enterprise ERP systems, particularly SAP. The Solution Engineering team works directly with customers to connect their SAP systems to Workist's AI platform and achieve rapid go-live.
In this role, you will own the SAP side of the Workist integration and be a critical part of the customer journey from initial technical workshops through go-live and ongoing support. You will combine product engineering with hands-on project delivery, scaling the SAP integration to support growing customer demand.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and customize SAP integration for S/4HANA and ECC customers
- Lead customer implementation projects, from requirements workshops through go-live
- Serve as the technical counterpart for customers, ensuring software compatibility with their SAP landscape and compliance with data protection requirements
- Collaborate closely with the Product & Engineering team to align SAP integration with product roadmap
- Analyze and identify new use cases that deliver measurable customer value
- Proactively identify process and product improvements
The role offers flexibility with hybrid work options (office, remote, or workation up to 4 weeks annually), flexible working hours, and a collaborative team environment in Berlin's WorKi Tower office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–3 years of hands-on SAP development experience
- Proficiency in ABAP and ABAP Objects; demonstrated experience building at least one component end-to-end (e.g., enhancement, RFC-enabled function module, or OData service), not just reports
- Experience building or consuming OData services (Gateway or RAP) and REST APIs; understanding of JSON mapping and error handling on both sides
- Comfortable working in ADT/Eclipse and able to handle the classic workbench when required by customer systems
- Experience with abapGit, RAP, ABAP Cloud, or BTP is welcome
- Interest in AI-extracted data integration into SAP and comfort using AI tooling in your own work
- Ability to explain technical decisions to customer SAP teams and willingness to run requirements workshops
- First experience with Python is a plus
- Fluent German and English (native or C1 level minimum)
