Anduril Industries is seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead to define and shape the electrical architecture for AI Factories and Command/Control centers—specialized, high-performance computing systems designed to process petabyte-scale data at the tactical edge. These are air-transportable, power-constrained, hardened systems optimized for AI inference and deeply integrated with Lattice OS, Anduril's AI-powered operating system.
You will own the end-to-end electrical architecture of deployable tactical data centers and command/control centers, conducting architectural trades that balance performance, manufacturing feasibility, and future scalability. Your role bridges traditional Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering, translating high-level Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) into detailed electrical requirements, architectures, and functional modules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design air-transportable, modular systems (containerized, palletized, vehicle-mounted) that are rapidly deployable and operationally credible
- Build infrastructure optimized for austere and contested environments—extreme temperatures, limited grid power, SCIF-accreditable facilities, and electromagnetic hardening
- Work in tight coupling with Lattice and AI/ML teams to ensure physical infrastructure meets mission-critical software requirements
- Partner with defense customers to translate operational requirements into technical architectures
- Lead prototyping, field testing, and operational validation through military exercises and real-world deployments
- Drive systems from concept through production at scale, working across hardware, software, supply chain, and program teams
- Allocate functions to specific electrical modules and subsystems, defining constraints, interfaces, and communications protocols
- Flow module and subsystem information to PCB design and harnessing teams to guide designs in line with the overarching electrical architecture
This role requires strategic thinking, long-term architectural vision, and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams on complex electronics projects. You will travel up to 15% of the time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of engineering experience designing and deploying electrical products
- Proven ability to think strategically and define long-term architectural vision for a product line
- Familiarity with embedded systems hardware, including MCUs, CPUs, and FPGAs, and their architectural implications
- Experience with full-cycle ECU/LRU electronics design, including PCBA design through the entire lifecycle
- Experience with harnessing design and connector selection
- Successful track record of releasing products to production and delivering to end-users at scale
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to work across diverse engineering disciplines
- Experience leading cross-functional teams on complex electronics projects
- U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship may be required)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in 3-phase power distribution, MV/LV grid-scale power distribution, or EV/HV battery systems
- Three or more full electrical product design cycles from conception to production release
- 8+ years of engineering experience designing and deploying electrical products
- Experience with tactical military systems, ruggedized computing, or deployable infrastructure in austere or contested environments
- Knowledge of military environmental standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) and expeditionary deployability requirements
- Hands-on experience with containerized or modular data center designs (ISO containers, mobile facilities)
- Experience with expeditionary or forward operating base (FOB) infrastructure
- Knowledge of electromagnetic hardening and operation in GPS-denied or communications-contested environments
- Experience with SCIF design or accreditation for classified environments
- Background in aerospace, defense, autonomous vehicles, EVs, or safety-critical industries with rigorous qualification requirements
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant engineering discipline
- Active Secret Clearance or higher
