Salary: USD 93,400 - 120,120 / annual
Vuori is seeking a Technical Designer to manage a portion of the Women's fitness product line. In this role, you will own all specifications and patterns, lead fit sessions, and communicate directly with suppliers to ensure proper understanding of corrections needed for subsequent sample stages. You will be responsible for managing construction improvements and will work closely with technical design partners, design, and product development teams to collectively create great quality products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating new style specifications and collaborating on pattern creation from scratch with senior technical designers
- Managing and maintaining all specs and grades from initial setup through production (prototypes, pre-production samples, size sets, tops)
- Preparing for and leading fit sessions for assigned categories, measuring garments and proactively identifying fit issues
- Communicating fit and construction-related comments to vendors and internal teams within development and production timelines
- Establishing and maintaining fit, construction standards, and blocks to ensure consistency and quality
- Reading and correcting patterns using software or other methods (photos, hand-drawn annotations)
- Supporting grading projects and understanding grading principles
- Improving fit and quality through review of customer comments, sales feedback, and competitive analysis
- Managing deadlines and communicating any challenges
- Maintaining full understanding of assigned styles and historical issues
- Demonstrating strong understanding of fabrications and how they interact with silhouettes
- Collaborating with team members to manage overall workload regarding construction, fit, approvals, and timelines
- Providing all product-related fit details for catalog and website

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in technical design, patternmaking, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience preferred
- 5+ years' experience in a technical design role
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams (design, development, merchandising, production)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience communicating with overseas vendors
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of computer patternmaking preferred (e.g., Gerber, 3D V-Stitcher, Browzswear)
- Knowledge of PLM systems is a plus
