Salary: USD 244,140 - 413,160 / annual
XPENG Robotics Xplore Lab is a frontier research and technology incubation platform advancing next-generation robotics capabilities. The lab explores physical agents, dexterous manipulation, whole-body intelligence, and related areas at the intersection of AI, robotics, and intelligent systems.
You will lead a small, interdisciplinary team on high-impact robotics research projects. Your responsibilities include defining and executing technical roadmaps, designing experiments, establishing evaluation standards, and driving work across AI algorithms, simulation, robot systems, and real-world testing. You will incubate promising technologies into future robotics capabilities and own a research direction from technical vision through prototypes to real-world validation.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving, ambiguous research environment. You will work alongside top talent in AI and robotics, with access to significant computational infrastructure and resources to support model development and research.
Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in a relevant robotics, AI, or intelligent-systems domain
- Strong record in robotics research or engineering
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring teams
- Comfortable working hands-on in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
