Salary: USD 114,000 - 191,400 / annual
PagerDuty (NYSE: PD), a global leader in AI-first digital operations, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its global tax team in San Francisco. Reporting to the Tax Director, you will support the company's tax compliance, reporting, and planning efforts across a rapidly growing, publicly traded SaaS organization.
You will lead the preparation of quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provisions under ASC 740 and related financial statement disclosures. Key responsibilities include managing the preparation and filing of global corporate income tax returns, tax credits (e.g., R&D), and incentives; preparing and maintaining tax-related accounts as part of the monthly accounting close; serving as a key point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual tax audits; maintaining and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance across global tax operations; and partnering with cross-functional teams on transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and special tax planning initiatives.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the San Francisco office. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on complex tax matters within a company trusted by approximately two-thirds of the Fortune 100 and nearly half of the Fortune 500.
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of corporate income tax experience in public accounting (Big Four preferred) or a global multinational corporation
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, specifically ASC 740, and experience preparing income tax provisions and disclosures
- Proficient Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Master's in Taxation (MST)
- Prior experience with SOX compliance or internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
- Background in the technology or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry
