Salary: USD 75,265 - 98,786 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Strategic Insights Senior Analyst, Data Analytics to join the Pharmacy Program Management team. This role partners across the organization to identify and manage business inefficiencies, supporting business units in scoping, analyzing, and monitoring performance of key financial and utilization metrics. You will work independently with stakeholders to define analytical questions, scope analyses, and deliver insights that reduce medical waste and improve healthcare affordability and quality for Oscar's members.
Key responsibilities include analyzing data to support data-driven decision-making; translating complex findings into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences; overseeing creation and maintenance of operational and analytical dashboards; building models and tools to identify inefficiencies; collaborating across the organization to implement improvements and monitor impact; and supporting strategic projects as needed.
You will report to the Senior Director, Pharmacy Program Management. This is a fully remote position with a hub office in Atlanta, GA; future work models may evolve to include hybrid presence.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of technical work experience using analytical tools and writing analytical reports
- 1+ years demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and distill analyses into relevant insights with structured, systematic thinking
- Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and partners around business reporting impact and requirements, demonstrated by at least 2 reporting projects requiring technical-to-non-technical communication
- Proficiency in SQL (filtering, aggregating, building CTEs) OR R/Python (including Pandas, for loops, statistical tests)
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (VLookup, nested if statements, connected Sheets)
- 1+ years experience in healthcare, finance, or insurance industry
Bonus qualifications:
- 1+ years experience preparing healthcare analytics and reporting
- 1+ years experience managing value-based contracts at payer or provider organizations (ACO, CIN, MSO)
- 1+ years experience developing dashboards and working with Looker or other BI/data visualization tools
- Exposure to healthcare contract negotiations, risk adjustment, ACA marketplace, quality of care, or population health
