Salary: USD 91,659.6 - 120,303.23 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Strategic Insights Associate, Data Analytics to join the Pharmacy Program Management team. This role partners across the organization to identify and manage business inefficiencies proactively, supporting business units in scoping, analyzing, and monitoring key financial and utilization metrics.
The Associate will independently drive the scoping and execution of analytical requests, working with stakeholders to define key questions, scope methodologies, and deliver results. You will own insights generation and serve as the first point of contact for senior managers and associate directors. Key responsibilities include analyzing data to support data-driven decision-making, translating complex findings into clear narratives for non-technical colleagues, enhancing operational and analytical dashboards, developing models and tools to identify healthcare inefficiencies, and collaborating across the organization to drive improvements and monitor initiative impact. You will report to the Senior Director, Pharmacy Program Management.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of technical work experience using analytical tools and writing analytical reports
- 2+ years demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and distill analyses into relevant insights with structured, systematic thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by 5+ examples/projects of presenting analysis to leadership (Director level and above)
- 2+ years experience in SQL (filtering, aggregating, building CTEs) OR proficiency in R or Python (including Pandas, for loops, statistical tests)
- 1+ years experience with Google Sheets or Excel (VLookup, nested if statements, connected Sheets)
- 1+ years experience in healthcare, finance, or insurance industry
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years experience in healthcare analytics and reporting
- 2+ years experience managing value-based contracts at payer or provider organizations (ACO, CIN, MSO)
- 2+ years experience developing dashboards and working with Looker or other BI/data visualization tools
- Exposure to healthcare contract negotiations, risk adjustment, ACA marketplace, quality of care, or population health
