As a Store Ingestion Specialist, you will manage the ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and posting of financial and royalty data from digital service providers (DSPs) and delivery channels. You will ensure accuracy and completeness of raw financial files, support timely royalty postings, resolve data discrepancies, and maintain data integrity throughout the ingestion process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receive and process raw financial and royalty files from DSPs via email, SFTP/FTP, and backend portals (Excel, PDF, TXT formats)
- Review incoming files for completeness, accuracy, and identify discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records in S3 buckets per internal processes
- Manage ingestion and posting of royalty/financial reports, including FX rate files via FileZilla
- Monitor ingestion processes and coordinate with Tech, BI, Data, and Finance teams on issue resolution
- Perform reconciliation of financial data, cross-checking AR invoices and payments
- Export data to Retool and apply foreign exchange rates
- Perform validation and second-level reviews before Finance approvals
- Manage regular SR/SIP report postings within defined timelines
- Coordinate with DSPs to obtain corrected/updated files and follow up on discrepancies
- Review postings against Oracle invoices/receipts and investigate variances
- Perform detailed analysis of complex cases and coordinate stakeholder resolution
- Support monthly financial closing activities
- Prepare and maintain reports for financial reporting, audit, and record-keeping
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, BI, Tech/Data teams on data and reconciliation queries
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and automation
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, procedures, and financial policies
- Manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines
- Work closely with Royalty Ingestion Lead and revenue specialists
You will report to the Head of Customer Finance and Legal Operations in Mumbai and work in an international environment with cross-functional teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations, financial data processing, revenue operations, royalty operations, or related finance processes, preferably in an international environment
- Strong understanding of financial data processing, reconciliation, revenue recognition, and financial operations
- Experience with digital platforms, marketplaces, DSPs, or media companies (preferred); music industry or royalty operations experience is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and data management skills with ability to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes
- Experience working with large volumes of financial data with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of SQL, Retool, FileZilla, and Amazon S3 is advantageous
- Experience with ERP, accounting, reporting, or financial systems such as Oracle (advantageous)
- Ability to independently manage operational activities, prioritize tasks, and follow through until resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with Finance, Tech/Data, BI, DSPs, and stakeholders
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
- Comfortable in fast-paced, agile, international environments
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong sense of ownership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines while maintaining data quality
- Demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, data quality, and finance operations optimization
- Knowledge of royalty management, contract management, or digital music distribution (plus)
- Good understanding of the digital music ecosystem and DSP role (preferred)
