ARX Robotics is seeking a Staff V&V (Verification & Validation) Engineer to lead electrical and electronic systems testing for autonomous robotic platforms. In this role, you will ensure that integrated E/E systems perform exactly as designed, translating system and product requirements into practical test strategies and validation campaigns. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, sensors, and product, conducting hands-on testing, root-cause analysis, and providing objective evidence for release decisions. Key responsibilities include: - Developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases derived from system, interface, safety, and compliance requirements with full traceability - Executing functional, interface, performance, robustness, and fault-injection testing campaigns across E/E hardware, firmware, sensors, actuators, and vehicle-level functions - Planning and coordinating environmental, EMC, and electrical safety qualification campaigns for accredited laboratories and certification bodies - Designing and building test benches, hardware-in-the-loop setups, and data acquisition environments representing real platform configurations - Implementing automated regression testing and standardized reporting to improve test repeatability and efficiency - Conducting prototype bring-up and electrical characterization of new platform configurations - Performing root-cause analysis of test and field failures, collaborating with design teams on corrective and preventive actions - Delivering evidence-based release recommendations that clearly communicate blockers, limitations, and residual risks You will collaborate closely with E/E hardware, embedded software, systems engineering, and product teams. While design ownership remains with engineering teams, you provide the technical transparency and objective evidence that accountable functions rely on. Your findings will directly shape platform reliability and testability in each release. The company offers a hybrid working setup, competitive compensation with bonus opportunity, 27 vacation days (increasing to 30 with tenure), employer-supported pension, learning & development support, and relocation assistance where applicable. Requirements: - Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, robotics, systems engineering, or related technical field - Hands-on experience in verification, validation, system testing, or integration testing of complex electrical products - Solid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware integration, and communication interfaces - Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, data loggers, and bus-analysis tools - Systematic troubleshooting approach with ability to reduce complex failures to reproducible causes - Scripting and data analysis skills (e.g., Python) for test automation - Discipline working independently in prototype and test environments with strict configuration control and documentation - Clear communication connecting hardware, software, systems, and product teams - Professional working proficiency in English - Bonus: experience with mobile robotics, off-highway or automotive systems, CAN or Ethernet, hardware-in-the-loop testing, FMEA or 8D failure analysis methods, or German language skills
