Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer for its Maritime division to develop technical strategy and roadmap for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) systems and related maritime capabilities. This role bridges pre-award demonstrations, early contract phases, and full-rate production execution for U.S. military customers. You will lead the design of complex, integrated systems for subsea operations, coordinating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, and strategic partners. Working in an agile, continuous integration/continuous deployment environment, you will balance new capability development with integration of existing Anduril technologies. You will provide technical oversight across all program phases—from proposals through System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), assembly, qualification testing, and delivery. Key responsibilities include: providing technical expertise across AUV subsystems (mechanical, electrical, software); leveraging strategic partnerships to build products meeting customer requirements; contributing maritime industry expertise to business strategy and capture efforts; generating and maintaining full system requirements; overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering teams; performing mission and system-level trade studies balancing risk, cost, and performance; and delivering critical technical briefings to leadership and customers. You will also assist in building infrastructure for vehicle and payload build-and-test operations, working with external vendors to establish test requirements and pass/fail criteria. **REQUIREMENTS** - Experience architecting, developing, and delivering defense/intelligence community maritime hardware and software systems - Demonstrated ability to decompose complex systems with competing objectives (performance, schedule, modularity, cybersecurity, multi-level security) into executable requirements and deliver against government expectations - Experience with standards for qualification testing and acceptance testing - Knowledge of U.S. government maritime mission areas and associated concepts of operations (CONOPS) for warfighter mission execution - Design and development experience with detailed mission solutions, including AUVs and payloads, for complex maritime domain challenges - Strong technical communication skills; ability to deliver critical technical briefings to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers - Strong technical fundamentals in maritime systems, ashore infrastructure, support equipment, and product development - Technical experience leading U.S. Government contracts - TS/SCI security clearance eligibility **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Active TS/SCI security clearance eligibility - Weapons Safety Evaluation Review Board (WSEB) process experience
