As a Staff Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will architect and implement features end-to-end for the web platform with clear ownership and autonomy. You'll take responsibility for the codebase, balancing high-quality code, security, and development velocity. You'll work across the full tech stack—React, Node.js, AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes—with a focus on backend development. Beyond individual contribution, you'll review code and mentor junior engineers to elevate team capability, and drive continuous improvement across the platform and organization.
The role emphasizes ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions, and direct feedback in service of excellence. You'll work alongside world-class legal teams and contribute to products that cut through complexity so legal professionals can focus on judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Several years of experience building great products with cutting-edge technologies
- Comfort working across the entire tech stack, with focus on backend development
- Autonomous work style with pride in code quality
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to develop creative solutions and think holistically about software architecture
- Experience in infrastructure and integrations (preferred)
