Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. The company is developing both the rocket and the factory that manufactures it.
The Construction Design & Delivery team is at the core of Relativity's growth and development, responsible for designing and delivering the infrastructure projects that support the Wormhole factory. This team collaborates across Manufacturing, Propulsion, Avionics, Facilities, EHS, Security, and external partners including government agencies, utility suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end infrastructure project design at the Wormhole factory, from concept development through permit issuance and construction handoff. You will translate operational requirements into buildable, code-compliant design packages across architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines. You serve as the central point of coordination for stakeholder engagement, consultant management, and cross-functional design integration.
Key responsibilities include driving development of work center layouts in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers and CAD teams to meet equipment, utility, and compliance needs; managing design-phase budgets, soft cost estimates, and change tracking in partnership with project controls and estimating teams; and providing construction administration support including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site walks, and punchlist validation to ensure design intent is maintained.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading capital or infrastructure projects through design, permitting, and construction phases
- Strong knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety, Title 24, and permitting requirements
- Proven ability to manage consultant deliverables, coordinate interdisciplinary design reviews, and facilitate stakeholder alignment
- Proficiency in reviewing construction documents, redlines, and QA/QC deliverables for scope clarity and constructability
- Organized communicator skilled at producing clear meeting notes, action trackers, and handoff packages for execution teams
**Nice to haves:**
- PE license or PMP certification
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments or cleanroom infrastructure projects
