This role focuses on building and scaling the internal developer platform that powers hundreds of engineers across the organization. Your primary mission is to architect and build the next generation of Okta's CI/CD platform, with a focus on dramatically reducing build and test execution times from hours or days down to minutes. The team runs tens of thousands of automated tests for every commit, and this role will tackle the monumental engineering challenge of optimizing this distributed compute workload at massive scale. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of software engineering experience - Strong coding skills in Go (Golang) and/or Python, with proven ability to build and maintain complex systems - Deep, practical Kubernetes experience: building, running, troubleshooting workloads; understanding pods, operators, scheduling, and networking - Experience architecting, building, and/or significantly scaling CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc.) as a platform for other engineers - Demonstrable experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and understanding of their core services - Fluency with Docker, container registries (e.g., Artifactory), and modern build systems (Gradle, Bazel) - Platform mindset: customer-obsessed (customers are other engineers), proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects - B.S. in Computer Science, equivalent technical experience, or proven track record of shipping exceptional systems
