Join Moveworks (now part of ServiceNow) as a Staff Software Engineer on the core platform team, where you'll shape the evolution of the conversational AI platform trusted by 5.5+ million employees at 350+ Fortune 500 companies.
In this role, you will design and build highly reliable, performant, and secure platform building blocks that power enterprise AI products. You'll influence the platform team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas, partnering across product management, UX, customer success, machine learning, and engineering teams to identify and build elegant solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build highly reliable, performant, and secure platform building blocks
- Influence the platform team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas
- Partner within and across engineering teams to provide cross-cutting solutions
- Consistently deliver deadline-sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams
- Challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement of the platform
- Regularly participate in peer code and engineering design reviews
- Build enterprise products leveraging the machine learning platform
- Build foundational frameworks and services that provide scalable and reliable building blocks
- Build the enterprise data platform for various product needs
Moveworks is the Agentic AI Assistant platform empowering the entire workforce. The platform enables employees to converse with business systems through natural language to find answers and automate tasks, powered by advanced LLMs, proprietary models, and a sophisticated Agentic AI platform. Acquired by ServiceNow in December 2025, the combined entity delivers AI solutions across enterprise systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining products or platforms
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- Experience building and integrating with API-based platforms; strong understanding of REST and RPC-based systems
- Experience building and maintaining microservices in Python, Golang, Java, or C++
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience solving for performance, optimization, scalability, latency, and monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex engineering concepts concisely to product and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong motivation, gumption, and appetite for continuous, incremental changes and completing challenging projects fast
- High curiosity about engineering outside immediate discipline with desire to learn
- Willingness to learn and openness to giving and receiving feedback
- Desire to work at startup pace with high degree of ownership
